What is it?
An annual contest where your tales of the ocean, grit, and legacy can win you epic prizes!
What do you get?
All entrants:
- You and your story get mentioned on Instagram.
- All stories are showcased on the Neptune's Bastards™ website.
- All entrants (and participants) help us expand our Boards 4 Boards Initiative.
- You become an integral part of the Neptune’s Bastards™ community.
Monthly Winners:
- A limited edition contest exclusive Neptune's Bastards™ skate deck. This skate deck is made in America and there will only be 10 available.
Grand Prize Winners:
- A limited edition contest exclusive Neptune's Bastards™ snowboard. This snowboard is made in America and there will only be 3 available.
What do you have to do?
First, write or record your sea-inspired story. Images and videos encouraged! we don't discriminate, want to send us just a photo that tells a story in of itself? Sure, a little context might be nice though. Want to film the story, write the story, a little bit of everything? go for it.

- Like and share when we mention your story on Instagram.
- Tag friends in the comments who you think would enjoy the story or the contest
- Share your story directly on your profile, tag us @NeptunesBastards, and use the contest hashtag #ABastardsTale
How is it decided who wins and when?
Submissions will be gathered over the course of a month and put up for a vote that following month. Followers will have 30 days to vote for their favorite stories by liking or commenting on posts. At the end of that period, the monthly winner will be chosen based on the story with the most votes. You have a chance to win the monthly prize from months 2 through 11.
The voting doesn't stop there. Keep on voting for your favorites because at the end of month 11, after the final monthly winner is chosen, a poll for the grand prizes will be available. A list of finalists will be made available for all to vote on their favorite stories from the year.
Finalists will be chosen after 30 days based on a combination on how they fit into three categories, the monthly voting results, and thoughts from Neptune's Bastards™.
The three grand Prize categories are:
- Most Inspiring
- Best Adventure
- Veteran's Story
When do we get started?
The first round of submissions will be gathered March 1, 2025 through march 31, 2025.
Voting starts April 1, 2025.
What else should you know?
This contest will directly benefit our Boards 4 Boards Initiative. So for every 200 likes/shares/comments, 1 board will be donated to the underprivileged and military youth.
Everytime someone donates and mentions your favorite story in the purchase message = you will get two extra votes for your story
